Okay, so when a missionary says he has a training activity planned, you might be expecting something else. We started setting up the train the evening of Friday, Dec 15th and finished at noon on Saturday the 16th! It took some excavation and some interesting wiring, but it works.

Homemade Manger Scene
This may start to look like the Thomas blog, but you have to give credit where it is due. Thomas is a very good artist. Not that he draws or sculpts better than anyone else, but his mind is something else. It is tempting to get him art supplies for Christmas, but we think he prefers to recycle his materials from other things.
This evening, Thomas gave his dad an early Christmas gift: A manger scene. The characters have bodies of pop bottles, stuffing from an old pillow, pillow cases for clothes and hats made of tin foil (one on top of a miniature Steeler helmet). While we could not put it in this photo, the manger is an outline of Christmas lights.
We don't know what God has in the future for this kid, but it will probably be something very creative.

Thomas, A hard man to get past
While others like to score, Thomas would like nothing better than to shut you down! He knocked 7 points off of Barcelona, but it was not enough as his team, Sevilla, went down 3-2. He played the entire game, his second of the season. Sevilla is currently in second place and heads into the playoffs on Dec 15th.
